About Me

I am a journalist for Mancunian Matters and working towards my NCTJ qualification and BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism degree at News Associates. I have a passion for bringing news to the best city in the world. I am particularly interested in reporting on local affairs, local heroes and music from Manchester.

My work at GigPig ensured that I am writing music news on a national level. Here I have written editorial pieces highlighting issues around commission on merchandise and the reality of cost-of-living on emerging artists. Additionally, I have crafted pieces for their social media and further expanded my experience.

I published a variety of multimedia pieces of journalism including podcasts surrounding the music scene within Manchester and video pieces, highlighting the performers at the Edinburgh Fringe in the North West. I have experience in writing investigative-style pieces, where I reported on the final missing victim of Moors Murder case with an interview from his family lawyer, John Ainley, and uncovered the amount of legal aid received from James Bulger's killers.

"This is Manchester. We do things differently here."
